December days reflecting myself with new insights drawn .....😊
During this week I completed the activities related to prose 'School For Sympathy' and taught poem 'My Grandmother's House'.This was really a busy week as it was the last week before Christmas examination...This week I dealt with simple present tense, present progressive tense,irregular plurals,active and passive voice, speech writing,group discussion,relative pronoun and figures of speech .I got many substitution this week so I could complete 9 lesson templates..Relative pronoun was taught using advance organizer model.The poem 'My Grandmother's House' was taught using ICT. Students were so happy when I incorporated the powerpoint presentation and video for the teaching learning process.Day by day students are becoming so interactive and they responded well in the class.I could feel the result of my preparation and hard work.I had checked the notebooks of my students to know whether they have completed the notes and found that one of my student's handwriting was not legible.I gave her some suggestions to improve..By now I have completed 21 lesson plans and collected the feedback from the learners.From the pleasing response I could evaluate myself to an extent.This week the whole school ambience reflected busy learning.....From the next week onwards they have their Christmas examination..So, there will be a short break for our teaching practice..We will join back the school only after Christmas vacation.

'Style is the way to say who you are without having to speak'.
Second phase of our teaching practice is moving smoothly.This was a week of varied experiences...We had only four working days this week but I could complete 16 lesson templates including one model lesson by this week as I got some substitutions in my class.This week I completed some of the activities from the story such as articles and poster preparation. I could also incorporate some elements of ICT in my class.To find out my students problem area,I conducted the diagnostic test and gave the remedial teaching.When Jijan Sir came to observe the class of my friends I got my reflective journal signed. On Wednesday and Thursday I went for peer observation which gave me new insights of teaching learning process.One of the wonderful experience of this week was, I got substitution in X I and I could help them in chart preparation.They
were vibrant, friendly and helpful. I gave them some suggestions regarding the preparation.With mutual cooperation we completed the task...They were so thankful that I could feel from their words.I am satisfied with this week as I could complete the expected lesson plans...

New week, new experiences and new hope...A good teacher is always a good learner.The responsibility of a teacher is inseparable. During this week I almost completed the prose 'The School for Sympathy'.I completed some of the activities such as word pyramid,question words,editing and adjectives based on the lesson.I had checked the notebooks of students to know their writing skill.Some of them had so many grammar mistakes and I tried to correct most of it.Day by day students are becoming more interactive with me.They respond well to my questions and seemed very active in the class.This week I got one substitution in class VIII B as my concerned teacher is busy with some works.She also assigned me to check the assignments submitted by the same class.I introduced a vocabulary game to my students to enhance their vocabulary and I understood that it was very effective in teaching vocabulary.As I completed eight lesson plans I prepared question paper to conduct the diagnostic test for students.This week I observed the class of my co-trainees.
Within two weeks I gained much confidence and courage in teaching...

The second phase of teaching practice had started this Monday.I reached Mount Tabor Girls High School, Pathanapuram at about 9 :15 am with my friends.I got the assigned portion by last Thursday.In the morning it self I met my concerned teacher Mrs Kinsy and she told me that there was a change in my class. I got VIII E this time.I went to the class and borrowed the timetable and during the second period I engaged them. I got familiarized with the names of the students at first.The students were active and eager to know my whereabouts.I just made an interesting conversation with them and just introduced the unit 'Share and Care'.I was able to complete 3 lesson plan during this week.I completed a poem 'Solitude' and started a story named 'The School for Sympathy'.I included some activities in my lessons which made learning more interesting.One of the novel idea introduced by me during this phase was to enhance their vocabulary.As a part of it this week I introduced four new words to them through different activities..Even though it was a new atmosphere they mingled with me...This week I got one substitution in V C and a chance to conduct quiz as the part of club activity ' Arivinte Lokam' which was a wonderful experience....
