A SHIPWRECKED SAILOR- Teaching Aids💙💛💜💜💚

💚Fourth Week Report July 24 to 28💚

                         Its true that one teacher, one book and  one pen can bring great change....This was a week of wonderful experience..My students became more attached to me..I completed all the activities of 'Shipwrecked Sailor' and two poems this week...I got four substitution in my class...I am a bit tensed about completing the portion... Days are moving fast and exams are fast approaching...Tuesday being a holiday due to strike exhorted by student party, I lost one class.This week I used three charts and different images as my teaching aid and I made maximum participation of my students in learning activity...I got my lesson templates and reflective journal signed...We  are planning  to take a ICT based class the coming week by bringing students to our college. We are asked to wear our uniform coat from coming Monday.. Overall it was an awesome experience this week....

   Hoping for better week.....

Third week Report July 17 to 21💜

 It was a week of  varied experience...As days passed responsibility as a teacher reached its peak..a sense of great fortitude began to grow stronger in me..I had completed 14  lesson templates within this week..but a bit tensed thinking about completing the portion. This week I entered into the activities of the lesson 'The Shipwrecked Sailor' and taught one poem 'Taj Mahal'.This week most of my teaching was technology based...Students were happy to learn so...My option teacher came to observe my class and the students were very active which gave me more confidence. This Tuesday, I got an opportunity to engage VI  I which was an awesome experience... 45 mints with cute buddies made me so energetic...The most surprising thing was, my students learned a new mannerism ie saying'thank you' for every help provided to them and I feel somewhat proud that I could bring a small change in them...Thus, this week went smoothly.

Second Week Report  July 10 to 14😅

Life as a teacher begins the day we realize that we are always a learner... This week was filled with wonderful experience.Feeling blessed with a group of  lively students.This week I missed two days because of strike exhorted by different parties.The most exciting thing was our sir came for observing the class and I was very happy that he gave me good feedback..This week I was able to complete one story 'The Shipwrecked Sailor'.Even though I missed some class due to strike I got two substitution in my class so that I could complete the lesson plan till I planned.My supervising teacher is Mrs Kincy who is very supportive and helpful. She would always come to supervise my class.From this week's experience I understood that every child has a different learning style and pace..each child is unique...The most interesting thing is that, I learned the names of almost all students..The activity card I provided made my students more vibrant in learning......

 I hope the coming week will be enriched with much more better experience.....

School Internship Phase I

            First Week Report 

           July 3 to July 7

      Our teaching practice programme started on July 3, 2017.In order to conduct our teaching practice programme I have selected  Mount Tabor Girls High School, Pathanapuram. The important aspect of school based teaching practice is that, it provides an opportunity to integrate different types of knowledge and use them in specific school context.It also gives an opportunity for student teachers to socialize and learn how to behave like teachers.Our school has both English and Malayalam, as the medium of instruction. The school has implemented continuous and comprehensive evaluation. Working hours of the school is from 9.30am to 3.45pm.

                       The class assigned to me was VIII B.On the first day I just made some informal interaction with the students.In order to know more about them I gave them a form consisting of several questions.Students were so happy to complete it and it was so exciting for me.As I read the form I understood their area of interest, weakness,hobbies,opinion about how a good teacher should be and so on...Unfortunately, I got only three class this week and the other two days were holidays due to strike organised by different student parties.I started with unit 3,'Wings and Wheels',the story named Shipwrecked Sailor by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.From the three classes I have understood that my students are very much interested in teaching aids.They responded much more effectively in the class which I took with variety of teaching aids.I completed three lesson plans this week.From the first week's experience I understood that class could be made interesting with better teaching aids..........
